Massachusetts psychic shop owner opens doors — and minds

Richard Lanza, owner and founder of Open Doors in Braintree, Massachusetts, has been working in psychic development and spiritual healing for over 50 years.

During that time, he has witnessed many changes in the industry, and in people’s perceptions of his line of work. He met all the requirements, but the town of Braintree initially refused to give him a license.

Lanza successfully challenged the town and won his case after a year-long legal struggle.

Even with continuous skepticism and misinterpretations, Richard and his team are nevertheless hopeful about the future of the industry, as their work is gaining more traction and acceptance year after year.

They emphasize that their practice is not about magic, but rather about the vibratory feelings they sense from individuals during psychic readings.

As you walk through the “open doors” a sound of door chimes welcomes you to walk into an environment like no other.
First ,are the incredible aroma’s of incense, candles, and all things spice.
As you begin to wander around, your ears get their own special delight. There is soft music indicative of magical sound, wind chimes of all different types of pitch, and a water feature that gently calms the mind and soul.
As you look up you see the magic of dream catchers , spinning rainbows and many other things of delight.
There are shelves lined with every imaginable crystal ,in an array of colors can’t help but call you over to closer investigation. Each jar has the description of the beauty held within. Whether you are looking for certain healing stones , or like me have “have one” because of its original coloring and history, there is a stone for everyone , even if just to keep in their pocket.

I can walk through the store for hours looking at each and everything thing , stocked on many different types of shelving. I may not be looking for one thing in particular, however ,there have been times when I have gone for one particular thing and walked out with five.
When you arrive home with your special purchases you are then reminded by the smells that have followed you , that no matter your faith or belief, you have been touched by a small piece of heaven.
