Gen Z redefines what it means to be Latinx on TikTok

EL PASO – TikTok has emerged as Gen Z’s go-to social media platform. Known widely by outsiders as that one app where people lip-sync to popular songs or do a little dance, it’s also the setting for more serious dialogue about Latinidad.

Conversations about these topics might not be new, but they are happening in a different way and engaging a newer generation in the process.

Jacquiline Mayorga, who goes by @gordacorajuda, shared what it means to her to be Latinx and the message she’s trying to get across on TikTok.
