Speed Style and Performance Car Club combines horsepower and camaraderie

Speed Style and Performance car club in Miami is a one-of-a-kind group that focuses on the cultivation of friendships, connected through one core passion: Horsepower.

They are an inclusive car club that is open to all makes and models that formed back in 2003 when a group of friends came to the realization that there were no clubs in the Miami metropolitan area that welcomed and celebrated all kinds of automobiles.

Members of the club thank SSP for forming some of their most valuable friendships. Bruce Ford said Speed Style and Performance is a family. He joined the club in 2006 and has been active ever since. Ford shared that his kids grew up with SSP, a common thread for people in the club.

SSP members not only help each other work on their car. Gabrielle Alvarez who joined the group last year said they also support each other’s personal activities such as cheering for each other at recitals or attending their kids’ graduation.

Every October since 2011, the members travel together for a week-long trip. This year’s destination is “Back of the Dragon” in Virginia, a 32-mile road full of winding curves.

Another one of SSP’s main priorities is safety. They promote the importance of lawful driving and civil behavior. During their bi-weekly Thursday meetings at their usual spot in front of BurgerFi in Kendall, located south of Miami.
