Gente de NAHJ: ‘All the abuelitas’ know FOX 8 New Orleans journalist Andrés Fuentes
Andrés Fuentes is one of two bilingual journalists at FOX 8 New Orleans, and after 5 years on the job, he’s become a a trusted source for the region’s Latino community.
The New Orleans native said he takes his role in the community seriously, because “in times of crisis, you are it.”
His dedication has paid off, and he often gets stopped by people, including when he’s grocery shopping.
“All the abuelitas, they know who I am,” he said.
